Terms and Coniditions
--Model Horse Customising Information--
I work using mixed media when creating customs, before making sure they're covered in matte/satin sealant and ready to be sent to you. I would still class myself as a 'novice' even though my work has Photoshow and Live Show placed, yet this is to everybody's personal discretion. I have various references for my services on the Model Horse Transaction Boards. If you wish to view these then please pop me a message or type in my name!
--Commission Info--
Commissions are worked on as a first come, first serve basis, unless there has been pull back or the previous commissioner sent their horse late to be worked on. Due to this I will only take a limited number of horses on at a time depending on the nature of the job. This is to lessen waste of products and ensure you recieve a quality of service and not a 'rushed job'.
When you commission me, I request you pay a non-refundable deposit to secure your place and pay the remaining balance when yoive recieved final images of your piece. It will then be posted to you within the week, unless something important pops up. You will receive regular updates on your purchase along the way, including any problems that may arise.
--Touch Ups and Repairs--
If you are considering booking in for either of these jobs, please be aware I can't guarantee they will be fixed. A deposit will still be required to hold your slot, however payment wont be requested unless I have managed to fix the model(s) and you have recieved final images.
--Stripping and Prepping--
Stripping and prepping jobs are both very time consuming and tedious. Updates will be given at least once a week, please be aware I can't make models strip any faster or the apoxie on prepped models dry faster. With this in mind, I do require a turn around time of at least 2-3 months per horse.
--Extra Charges--
Extra charges may be raised if there turns out to be more work that's needed, but wasn't intially disclosed before the model was sent. You will be informed of this prior to work continuing. If you refuse to pay the extra charges, your model will be returned once you've paid for the work already completed and postage.
--Late Fees--
Due to needing to constantly remind people in regards to their outstanding fees/ missed planned time payments, I shall now be adding on a late fees. Unless a valid reason is given, or you have made me aware your monthly payment may be late before the planned date, you will need to pay a charge of £5 per planned payment date missed.
--Time Payments--
Time payments can be given for up to 3 months, depending on the price of model listed. It can also be used towards paying off commissions, however if you do need time payments for a commission, you will need to make me aware of this prior to the work being done so a payment plan can be set up in advance. Failure to do so will incur late charges when your model is finished. Time pays can be given for up to 3 months, although more time can be provided if the buyer has asked for it at the beginning of the sale. Finally time pays will only be given to those who have greens on transaction boards, or I have previously worked with before.
--Non Payment--
If the remaining balance hasn't been paid and you have failed to get in contact with myself and ignored previous warnings, I will keep the model that's in my possession and sell it on to regain the loss of the work I've completed on the horse. Once my work has been paid, you will be sent the remainder of the sale money.
--Postage--
Models that are due to be sent out, will be sent under 2nd class, unless the commissioner has requested otherwise and paid the extra fees. Parcels are usually sent out within a week of the model being completed, unless external problems arise such as: hot weather, Christmas back logs or personal reasons. Commissioners will be updated when their horse has been sent and will recieve proof of postage.
International commissioners will need a shipping quote, prior to work being completed, as models posted outside the UK will only be sent as fully tracked and insured up to £50, £100-£200.
--Disclaimer--
Due to the nature of my work, I will give an estimated time of when your commission should be finished by, but please understand this is only a rough guess. If I feel it may be longer I will inform you immediately.
I do except returns provided they are for a good reason, I will not accept any because you, as the buyer .has 'changed their mind' or found cheaper. Returns will be accepted if the item has arrived severely damaged, I will offer to fix any damages/ offer a partial refund or a full refund once the model has been returned to me.
Finally, I do have the right to refuse a sale or commission based on a person's transaction board lights, or previous transactions. This may be subject to change, if said person has also changed and gained greens later on.
